Spring 2009, after attending an internet marketing conference an unrelated venture
I was involved with, it occurred to me there could be a gap in the market for good Social Media productiviy tools.
There seemed to be a lot of tools for gaining Followers, but none did everything. You needed to purchase a license from one website to follow, then you need to go to another site to unfollow, yet another to send automated Tweets.
It dawned on me that there was a need for a tool that did all you needed to gain targeted Twitter followers at the maximum rate allowed.
So when I got home, I quickly did some keyword research, and found reasonable
seach phrase with low competition. "Auto Follow Twitter".
And to my amazment,
www.autofollowtwitter.com was free.
I then invesigated the Twitter API, looked at the rules, and threw
together a crude prototype just to prove to myself it could be done.
About 500 programming hours later. AutoFollow was born.
AutoFollow has grown a lot since then. Now, although there are still many
features to be dreamed of, implemented and released, AutoFollow is powerful and
effective and set to desktop Twitter productivity tools market.

Beta has closed and now Social Ether is selling software.
